Star Trek Christmas Ornaments - New in 2010 and Old Favorites
67Star Trek Christmas ornaments may be a bit off the beaten path, but then aren't you just the type of person who relishes the thought of going "where no man has gone before?" More importantly, when you think of magic, joy and fantasy, and your wish list of most wanted toys for Christmas, do fat old men in fur-lined, red velvet suits come to mind? Bells? Reindeer? Shiny balls?
Have you ever noticed that if you squint just ever so slightly while looking at a lit Christmas tree in the dark how all the lights on the tree turn into the glowing stars of various brightness in a magical far-away universe?
Star Trek Christmas Ornaments may be just the thing for you!
Christmas is a time of fantasy, celebrating who and what we love, and indulging the inner child still hidden in each of us. If you love Star Trek, or live with someone who does, don't put it away for Christmas, nestle Star Trek memorabilia among the thousand-starred universe of your Christmas tree.
The truth is, after so many years of putting up the tree, decorating the tree, fixing the tree, maintaining the tree and taking down the tree, the whole danged Christmas tree thing can get to be a bit of a drag. Sure it's all cute, the glittery ornaments and other colorful trifles. But it's all been done before, possibly by you, a zillion times year in and year out. And it's just getting to be a bit of a yawner.
Break free! You will NOT be assimilated! Resistance is the key to the celebration of our individuality!
Annoy the earthly Borg! Decorate your Christmas tree with ornaments that are out of this world.
Kurt Adler Star Trek Christmas Lights and Decor
When decorating your Christmas tree with a Star Trek theme, it's best to not use traditional multi-colored Christmas lights. All whites are good, but you can add more outer-space mystery to your Star Trek tree by adding a few strands of blue lights or red. This will also add some depth to your tree.
You can also brighten things up and add weight to your tree with these fantastic Kurt Adler Star Trek Christmas lights. In the shape of the famous asymmetrical arrowhead/starship logo of the Federation Starfleet, these lights in blue or yellow feature either Spock or Captain Kirk.
The set of round lights feature more characters from the orginal Star Trek, and you can also choose this Kurt Adler Star Trek Spock tree-topper. As perfect a Star Trek tree-topper as that is, if you want something with a bit more color, search Amazon for other Kurt Adler multi-light star tree-toppers as an alternative. The uncommon star shapes, slightly retro look and primary colors of these Kurt Adler tree-toppers will fit any Star Trek theme beautifully.

Lieutenant Nyota Uhura as played by Nichelle Nichols had the distinction of being one of the very earliest successful black career woman depicted in a TV series. When Nichols wanted to leave the show after the first season, it was Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. himself who talked her into staying in the role which served as an inspiration for women everywhere and black women in particular.
Nichols stayed on and in her role as Federation Starfleet Lieutenant Nyota Uhura enjoyed more distinctions over the years, including being the female party to the first bi-racial kiss ever broadcast on national television. Always exploring new frontiers, her passionate partner in this ahead-of-its-time TV moment was of course none other than the Captain himself.
